At Collision Paint & Repair in Longview, we do our best to accommodate our customers and address their concerns. Here, we answer some of our most frequently asked questions. However, please do not hesitate to contact us if you have additional questions not addressed below.
What is the first thing I should do after a car accident?
Contact your insurance company as soon as possible after your accident to begin the claims process. You may need to bring your vehicle in to CPR for a Longview collision damage estimate, or your insurer may send an estimator to you to assess vehicle damage. We can begin repairs with the estimate the insurer provides and file any necessary supplements if hidden damage is found or if parts price differences occur.
Can I have my vehicle brought directly to your lot after a collision?
We recommend calling us first to provide your claim number and schedule an appointment for your repairs. In some cases, you may choose to have your vehicle towed to our facility, though we ask that you provide us with your contact information in advance of its arrival.
Do you charge to store my vehicle?
CPR does not charge storage fees for vehicles left for repair. However, there is a $20 daily fee for vehicles that we store but do not repair.
Will I owe money for repairs or a rental car?
If your repairs are covered by insurance, you may be required to pay a deductible for your claim. Deductibles vary according to your policy and can range from $0 to more than $1,000. For more information about your deductible or to find out if the costs of your rental car are covered by your policy, contact your insurer.
How do you process insurance checks?
If your insurance company sends you a check for repair expenses, simply hold onto it until repairs are complete, and sign it over to the shop when you pick up your vehicle. If the check is made out to both you and your car’s lien holder, you will need to contact your lien holder’s insurance department to have the check endorsed. Since this process can require additional documentation, it is important to acquire the endorsement quickly and request overnight return delivery if possible. Contact our office for more information about lien holder insurance check endorsements.
How long will it take to repair my vehicle?
Every vehicle is different, so determining the exact amount of time it will take to repair your car, truck or SUV is not possible. However, we can provide you with an estimated time frame for completion and welcome you to contact us anytime for updates on the status of your vehicle. Your account representative will contact you as soon as your vehicle is ready for pickup.
